What is Aurasma? It's a QR code on steroids!

Attach a video to any static image on a wall, book, computer screen, etc. 

Single tap  the video to access google docs, online surveys, quizzes, or open ended questions.

What?!

90 minute session: 

1)  30 min:  Aurasma basics 

2)   30 minutes:  video creation (educreations, movie makeror  iMovie)

3)  30 min...add even more depth!

  • Outcomes Linking meaningful images or academic vocabulary to examples of that image or term increases the retention, Aurasma can be used at much higher levels of assessment and layering than a QRC code, Adding a google doc, moodle forum or image at the third layer of Aurasma allows students to deepen understanding (literally link anything on the internet).
  • Walk-Away Products Steps on how to use Aurasma, Practice with types of video / images for the first layer (educreations, iMovie, movie maker, png, They'll create a meaningful examples for their own pesonal use during our session.
